Tabitha received her MFA in Jewelry & Metals from Kent State University and her BFA in Sculpture with a concentration in Jewelry & Metals from Winthrop University. Originally from Orangeburg, she now resides in West Columbia, SC with her partner Gil.
For eight years Tabitha served as a faculty member at Claflin University and from 2020-2022 she was the Interim Chair in the Department of Art. During her time at Claflin she taught a variety of fine art and craft classes. Currently, Tabitha serves as the Administrative Director at 701 Center for Contemporary Art in Columbia, SC and the Youth Coordinator for ArtFields Jr. in Lake City, SC.
From 2016-2019 her studio was located at Tapp’s Arts Center. From 2019-2024 her studio was located at Tapp’s Outpost/713 Studios in the Five Points neighborhood. She is now awaiting the construction & renovation of a new studio space.
